Corona Schools Trust Council operates a network of premium educational campuses across Nigeria serving thousands of students, staff, and parents who place enormous trust in the institution’s ability to provide a safe and secure learning environment. The security challenge for a school campus is uniquely complex: the facility must be welcoming and accessible to authorised users during school hours, while maintaining strict perimeter control against unauthorised access at all times. Fire safety must be uncompromising. And power reliability — for security systems that cannot afford downtime must be guaranteed.
Bolps System & Technologies Ltd was appointed to design, supply, install, and maintain a comprehensive integrated security and renewable energy solution across the Corona Schools campus network.
What We Delivered:
IP CCTV Surveillance System We installed a full IP CCTV network across all campus buildings, entry and exit points, playgrounds, car parks, and perimeter boundaries. High-definition cameras with wide-angle coverage ensure that no area of the campus is without visibility. The centralised video management system allows school administrators and security personnel to monitor all camera feeds in real time, with footage retained for investigation and compliance purposes.
Fire Detection & Alarm System A fully addressable fire detection and alarm system was installed across all campus buildings classrooms, administrative blocks, laboratories, halls, and utility rooms. The system is designed to EN standards and includes both smoke and heat detection, with audible and visual alarm outputs appropriate for a school environment where rapid, orderly evacuation is critical.
Electric Fence & Perimeter Security An electric fence system was installed along the full campus perimeter providing a highly visible physical deterrent and an early-warning alert layer against unauthorised entry. The fence is zoned and integrated with the CCTV system, so that any fence alarm automatically triggers a camera call-up at the relevant perimeter section, allowing security staff to immediately assess and respond.
Intrusion Detection System An interior intrusion detection system was installed across key buildings and access points providing after-hours protection when the campus is unoccupied. Motion sensors and door contacts are monitored by the central alarm panel, with alerts routed to the school’s security team and designated management contacts.
Renewable Energy — Solar Hybrid Power System To guarantee continuous uptime for all security systems regardless of grid availability, we designed and installed a solar-hybrid power system for the campus security infrastructure. The system includes solar panels, hybrid inverters, LiFePO4 battery storage, and an automatic transfer switch ensuring that CCTV, fire alarm, access control, and intrusion detection systems remain fully operational during power outages. Remote monitoring of the energy system allows proactive management of battery levels and system health.
