Service Overview
The West Africa Gas Pipeline is one of the most strategically significant energy infrastructure assets in West Africa — a transnational pipeline network transporting natural gas across multiple countries in the region. Securing this infrastructure demanded a security partner with the technical capability to design and deploy complex, multi-site systems, and the project management discipline to deliver across borders, under challenging environmental conditions, and within a highly regulated operational environment.
Bolps System & Technologies Ltd was appointed to design, supply, install, and maintain integrated security systems across multiple WAGPCO sites — making this one of our most geographically expansive and technically demanding engagements to date.
What We Delivered:
IP CCTV Surveillance — Multi-Site Network We designed and installed an enterprise-grade IP CCTV network across multiple pipeline facilities and operational sites. Cameras were specified with environmental ratings suited to outdoor industrial conditions — including heat, dust, and corrosion resistance — and connected to a centralised video management system enabling remote monitoring of all sites from a single operations centre. AI-powered video analytics were configured to detect perimeter breaches, loitering, and unauthorised vehicle movement — providing proactive, high-confidence alerts rather than passive recording.
Access Control Systems Networked access control was installed across all controlled entry points at each facility — covering personnel entry, vehicle access lanes, and restricted operational zones. Role-based access profiles were configured in alignment with WAGPCO’s operational security policies, with full audit trails and centrally managed credential databases covering all sites.
Intrusion Detection Systems Advanced perimeter intrusion detection systems were installed at each site — providing the earliest possible alert layer against unauthorised access. Sensor zones were mapped to adjacent cameras, enabling automatic CCTV call-up on alarm events so that control room operators could immediately verify and assess any threat without delay.
Ongoing Maintenance Agreement Following project completion, Bolps System & Technologies Ltd entered into a structured maintenance agreement with WAGPCO — providing scheduled inspections, remote diagnostics, priority on-site response across all covered sites, and quarterly system health reporting. This ensures the security infrastructure continues to perform at peak levels across all locations, supported by our West African operations team.
